Outdoor Furniture Manufacturer Australia — Auscraft

About Our Manufacturing

Auscraft Furniture is an Australian outdoor furniture manufacturer operating from West Gosford, NSW, on the Central Coast. Established in 2010, we build hardwood picnic tables entirely to order — no stock warehousing, no flat-pack, no imported components. Every table is cut, assembled and finished in our West Gosford workshop before despatch to customers across Australia.

Our manufacturing model means you deal directly with the people who build your furniture. There is no distributor layer, no reseller margin and no distance between your specification and the finished product. Custom dimensions, accessible configurations and non-catalogue requirements are handled in-house — not outsourced.

What We Manufacture

Our core product range is hardwood outdoor picnic tables:

  • Standard picnic tables: 4-seater to 10-seater, Spotted Gum, Ironbark or Merbau timber, A-frame and trestle configurations
  • Accessible configurations: Wheelchair-accessible end positions with AS 1428.1 DDA-compliant knee clearances — suitable for public parks, schools and aged-care facilities
  • Commercial grade: Through-bolt joinery, 90 mm dressed timber, rated to commercial traffic — not residential-grade furniture marketed as commercial
  • Custom sizes: Non-standard lengths, widths and heights available on request — common for school canteens, bowling clubs and heritage site installations
  • Bench sets: Matching bench seats sold separately for existing table frames or replacement of worn components

Materials and Standards

Auscraft specifies and manufactures to Australian standards where applicable:

  • AS 5604 — Timber durability classification. Class 1 species (Spotted Gum, Ironbark) for above-ground outdoor use with no ground contact. Class 2 (Merbau) for sheltered outdoor applications.
  • AS 1428.1 — Design for access and mobility (DDA). Accessible table configurations are dimensioned to this standard — minimum 800 mm knee clearance height, 500 mm knee depth.
  • UNSPSC 56101700 — Outdoor recreational furniture, product classification code for government procurement systems (AusTender, BuyNSW, Local Buy QLD).
  • Finish: UV-stable penetrating oil applied before despatch. Hardens in the grain rather than forming a surface film — resists peeling and cracking under Australian UV exposure.

Supply to Commercial and Government Buyers

A significant portion of Auscraft's output is supplied to commercial and institutional buyers:

  • Local councils and national parks: Bulk orders with freight scheduling, UNSPSC classification and tax invoice documentation. Suitable for direct purchase orders without tender.
  • Schools and universities: Canteen, courtyard and shade structure picnic table installations. Accessible configurations for compliance with DDA obligations.
  • Hospitality — cafes, restaurants, pubs and resorts: Commercial-grade tables that hold up to daily cleaning, commercial furniture movement and high seating turnover.
  • Strata and property management: Common area outdoor furniture for residential strata, retirement villages and commercial building forecourts.

Auscraft holds an Australian Business Number and can supply RCTI invoices, product compliance declarations and delivery dockets for procurement record-keeping.
