Hardwood Picnic Tables for South Australia

South Australia's outdoor culture spans some of Australia's most iconic settings — Barossa Valley cellar doors, McLaren Vale vineyard restaurants, Adelaide's park lands network (one of the world's largest), Victor Harbor's coastal parks and the Adelaide Hills' treetop retreats. Each setting has different demands, but all benefit from Class 1 hardwood that ages gracefully with minimal maintenance.

Auscraft manufactures all tables from our West Gosford workshop in NSW, using kiln-dried Australian hardwood. Every table ships flat-packed and assembles in under 30 minutes — no tools beyond the included hardware. Choose from Classic, Heavy Duty, Premium Hardwood or Kid Size — all available in Spotted Gum, Ironbark or Merbau.

Delivery to South Australia — 1 to 2 Weeks

Road freight from West Gosford reaches Adelaide in approximately 1-2 weeks. Glenelg, Norwood and inner suburbs arrive on the same schedule. Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills are also 1-2 weeks. Regional SA — Victor Harbor, Mount Gambier, Whyalla, Port Augusta — is 2-3 weeks depending on freight routes and carrier availability.

Delivery is to kerbside. For large commercial orders with tight site schedules, let us know and we will coordinate timing with your freight partner.

SA Wine Regions and Hospitality

The Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale are two of our busiest SA destinations — winery restaurants, cellar door terraces and accommodation venues need outdoor furniture that complements natural heritage settings. Ironbark and Spotted Gum both photograph beautifully and develop a silver-grey patina if left unsealed, or maintain their warm honey tones with annual oiling.

We regularly supply Adelaide Hills retreat properties, Flinders Ranges eco-lodges and Kangaroo Island hospitality operators. Our tables are designed for high-rotation commercial use: thick-section hardwood, concealed stainless fixings and no softwood components that rot at the grain.

Adelaide City and Council Orders

City of Adelaide, Marion, Onkaparinga, Tea Tree Gully and regional SA councils all order from Auscraft. Adelaide's 29 park lands — a UNESCO-listed heritage landscape — represent one of the largest contiguous urban park networks in the world, and a major destination for council outdoor furniture procurement.

All Auscraft tables meet DDA compliant (AS 1428.1), are rated to AS 5604 and carry UNSPSC code 56101700 for procurement systems. We can provide a tax invoice, ABN (51 634 872 441) and product specification sheets on request.

Timber for South Australia's Mediterranean Climate

SA's dry summers and mild winters suit all three of our species. Merbau performs exceptionally well in SA's Mediterranean conditions — its natural oils prevent the checking and splitting that cheaper timbers experience during hot, dry summers. Spotted Gum and Ironbark are both Durability Class 1 and equally well-suited to all SA climate zones, from coastal Adelaide to the arid interior.

If your SA site is fully exposed with no shade cover, we recommend Ironbark for its ultra-dense grain structure, which resists surface cracking better than any other commercial species. For sheltered settings — under a pergola or verandah — Spotted Gum's visual character makes it the first choice for cellar doors and premium hospitality.

Commercial and Bulk Orders

SA's hospitality, tourism and council sectors regularly order in volume. Winery fleet refits, caravan park upgrades, school playground installations and retirement village furniture programs are all handled by Auscraft. We do not use a distributor — you deal directly with the manufacturer, which means shorter lead times and no margin added by a middleman.

Volume pricing applies from 5 tables. For 20 or more tables, we can hold a call to discuss staging, freight scheduling and any custom sizing requirements. SA council tender documentation is available on request.

See our commercial and bulk orders page for full detail, or browse the range and note your preferred models when you submit a quote request.
